Your information
Privacy & cookies
This notice explains how we use information collected through the Spring House Residential Care Home website. It covers website enquiries, not the separate information we hold to provide care.
Who is responsible for your information?
Spring House Residential Care Home, Spring House, Peter Tavy, Tavistock, Devon, PL19 9NP is responsible for the personal information you provide through this website. For privacy questions, email enquiries@springhousecarehome.co.uk or call 01822 810465.
What we collect and why
When you send an enquiry, we receive your name, email address, optional telephone number and message. We use this information to respond to you, discuss your enquiry and keep a record of the conversation. We do not use the form to sign you up for marketing.
We rely on our legitimate interests in responding to genuine enquiries and operating a secure website. Where your enquiry is about entering into a care agreement with us, we may also process information to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Please do not send medical records, diagnoses or other sensitive personal information through the form. Contact us by telephone so we can explain an appropriate way to discuss care needs.
Where your enquiry goes
Your enquiry is sent to our enquiries email inbox using Cloudflare’s email service. The website does not create a separate database of enquiries. Relevant members of our team can access the message to respond to you. Our email provider also processes the message as part of delivering and storing our email.
Cloudflare hosts and protects this website. It processes technical information, such as IP addresses and information about the request, to deliver pages and check for automated abuse. Our application code does not deliberately log the contents of your enquiry.
How long we keep information
We retain enquiries for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and any follow-up, and where needed for our legal obligations or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. We review information and delete it when it is no longer needed. Information that becomes part of a care relationship is managed under our separate care records arrangements. Please contact us for details about a particular record.
Cookies and services on this website
We do not add advertising cookies, marketing pixels or visitor analytics. The site uses Cloudflare Turnstile to protect the enquiry form. Security services may process technical information and use essential browser storage or security cookies where necessary. You can contact us by phone or email without using the form.
The live Care Quality Commission (CQC) widget connects your browser to CQC’s website to show our inspection information. CQC receives technical information needed to serve that content. See CQC’s privacy statement and Cloudflare’s privacy policy for their information. The Google Maps link only takes you to Google Maps when you select it; we do not embed a map.
International processing
Technical service providers may process information outside the UK. Where applicable, appropriate legal safeguards are required for those transfers. You can contact us to ask about the providers and safeguards relevant to your enquiry.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access and correct your information, request erasure or restriction, object to processing and request portability. Contact us using the details above to exercise your rights or raise a concern. We do not make automated decisions about access to care through this website.
You can also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
